Grayscale Investments and Bitmine have increased their Ethereum holdings by staking nearly 500 million dollars worth of ETH in the past 24 hours according to Arkham Intelligence data.
Grayscale staked about 102400 ETH worth around 237 million dollars through multiple transactions using Coinbase Prime.
This shows strong institutional interest in Ethereum staking as a way to earn rewards. Bitmine also increased its stake in ETH becoming one of the largest corporate Ethereum stakers.
These moves show growing confidence in Ethereum’s long term future. As more ETH is locked in staking the available supply in the market decreases which can impact trading and price movement.
Grayscale Adds Over $237 Million in ETH Staking
Grayscale Investments is one of the world’s largest digital asset managers. The company has increased its Ethereum staking activity in a major way.
Recent blockchain data shows that Grayscale staked an additional 102400 Ether. This amount is worth around 237 million dollars based on current market prices.
The transactions were not made in a single transfer. Instead, they were divided into 32 separate transfers. All of these came from Grayscale’s Ethereum Trust wallet and were sent through Coinbase Prime. This is a secure custody service used by big institutional investors to manage digital assets safely.
With this latest move Grayscale has further strengthened its position in Ethereum staking. The company is also focusing more on earning rewards through staking as part of its crypto investment strategy.
Expansion of Ethereum Staking Products
Grayscale started staking for its Ethereum based investment products in October 2025. These include the Grayscale Ethereum Staking ETF (ETHE) and the Grayscale Ethereum Staking Mini ETF (ETH). Since staking was launched the company has earned nearly 38 million dollars in staking rewards based on internal data.
This change shows a major shift in how big institutions invest in crypto. Instead of only holding digital assets for price growth they are now also earning extra income through staking rewards.
Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg said the company’s low cost Ethereum fund performed better than competitors. It ranked first among all US exchange traded product providers in the first quarter of 2026. The fund also saw strong investor demand with 337 million dollars coming in as new investments during this time.
Ethereum Assets Under Management Reach $4 Billion
Grayscale’s Ethereum-related products are growing in size and influence. As of April 24 the total assets under management (AUM) for ETHE and ETH products have reached about 4 billion dollars.
This milestone shows that more institutional investors are entering Ethereum-based investment products. It also reflects increasing interest in Ethereum staking as a way to earn passive income in the crypto market.

Ethereum Staking Growth Across the Network
Ethereum staking is also growing fast across the entire network. Data from beaconcha.in shows that around 39 million ETH is currently locked in staking contracts.
This is a large part of Ethereum’s total supply. Nearly one-third of all ETH is now staked. When users lock their ETH in staking, they help secure the Ethereum network and earn rewards in return.
However, this rising trend also has an effect on the market. As more ETH is locked in staking, the amount of ETH available for trading becomes smaller. This reduces market liquidity and can influence price movements over time, sometimes making the market more sensitive to demand changes.
Bitmine Becomes Largest Corporate ETH Staker
Bitmine Immersion Technologies has become the biggest corporate Ethereum staker and holder. The company has increased its ETH position strongly over the last few months.
According to company reports, Bitmine now holds about 3.3 million ETH in staking, which is nearly 67% of its total Ethereum holdings. This shows the company is actively focusing on staking to earn rewards and support the Ethereum network.
Blockchain data platform Lookonchain also reported that Bitmine staked an additional 112040 ETH on Friday. With this latest move, the total stake amount has increased to around 3.7 million ETH. This now makes up approximately 74% of its total ETH holdings.
Overall Bitmine is becoming one of the most active institutional players in Ethereum staking, showing strong confidence in the long term future of ETH.
